Big Sioux Corridor

Area Overview
Stretching approximately 219 miles from Watertown, SD to Brandon, SD, the Big Sioux Corridor includes the central Big Sioux River and the land adjacent to its banks.

This portion of the river is impaired by suspended solids (silt), excessive nutrients and fecal
bacteria concentrations-primarily
due to livestock activity including
streamside grazing and animal feeding operations.
