Area Overview The Project addresses four impaired water bodies in the Northwest watershed area-an area with minimal water resources: Coal Springs Reservoir (90 acres), Dewberry Dam (40 acres), Flat Creek Lake (203 acres), and Lake Isabel (81 acres). Lake Isabel is of particular significance, the lake serves as the water
supply for the town of Isabel and the quality of the drinking water
is poor. Due primarily to agricultural activities, all of the lakes
experience high levels of nutrients (particularly phosphates), siltation
and excessive levels of algae. |
