Improving Water Quality The Watershed Planning and Development Project is a federally funded
and locally managed initiative with the goal of improving the quality
of water in South Dakota's rivers, lakes and streams. Resource Management Specialists SDACD employs eight resource management specialists who have been assigned to seven SDACD watershed areas. They are assigned to field operations and will be responsible for providing one-on-one assistance to landowners and operators. Their training and certification is being provided through NRCS' staff training program. Further information is available on the Watershed Project Coverage Areas page.
