SDSU Field Days This Summer

SDSU’s College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences is hosting a series of Research Station Field Days across South Dakota this summer. These events are a great way to see ag research in action, learn from SDSU experts, and connect with others in your area.

Each field day highlights topics important to the local region, like weed management, virtual fencing, variety trials, soil health, and more. All events are free to attend, and most include a meal or refreshments.

While conservation topics will be part of each event, the Oak Lake Field Day on July 10 will focus more heavily on conservation, with sessions on prairie restoration, pollinators, and small mammal habitat.

While there is no cost to attend the field days, registration is highly recommended in order to get accurate counts for food and resource materials. Registration for each field day is linked below. Visit the SDSU Agricultural Experiment Station website for more information.
