Winter Sowing

It may be cold and wintery outside still, but it’s the perfect time to try winter sowing! Winter sowing is a seed-starting method that uses everyday containers and natural freeze thaw cycles to get a head-start on gardening. Winter sowing can be used for cold hardy vegetables, flowers, and herbs, but in this hands-on workshop we will focus on winter sowing seeds for native plants. Bring a clear container or two and try this easy, low-cost way to grow native plants for your garden! (Supplies will be provided, but you can also bring additional clear containers, such as plastic salad containers or gallon jugs.)
