Pasture Walk at the 33 Ranch

Location: Rasmussen-Lehman 33 Ranch, south of Belvidere, SD

Details: Tour through the north half of the Rasmussen-Lehman Ranch, where you'll take a close look at the infrastructure it takes to manage 1,100 yearlings in one herd. Badland pastures are subdivided with single-strand high-tensile wire, and cattle are watered utilizing large storage tanks and plastic pipe.

Details: We are moving into our second year of hosting the WOTR Grazing Workshop at Wedge Tent Ranch with Bart and Shannon Carmichal and Pat Guptill of Principled Land Managers!
We will have a full agenda that covers grazing management, rangeland ecology, plant ID, body condition scoring, handling the stresses of home/work/ranch and how to balance it all, pasture allocation, water quality, and animal nutrition (to name a few!). This is a great workshop for women who want to learn the WHY behind things on the ranch, increase their confidence, and be surrounded by like-minded women who are in the throes of it.
